Seeing Miracles and New Beginnings in Dallas
Participant: Hey, what's up everybody?
Welcome to another episode of
Breakthrough Church Podcast.
And guess what?
We're launched, baby.
We did the thing, we launched the church.
The Lord is good and faithful.
Uh, in this last Saturday,
we had 97 adults and 12 kids
join us for launch Saturday.
And uh, what a blessing man.
It was a really, really special day.
And I don't just mean because
we did a church service.
That's, that's like the least of it.
I mean, honestly, I mean, that part
was great, but from, from the moment
I woke up, I mean the whole week
guys, the whole week was just crazy.
The Lord speaking to us in dreams and
conversations with people and experienced,
uh, really powerful times of ministry
with a few of my friends that they
received healing, like legit healing.
Like last week, it was almost
like the Lord was putting
a stamp of approval on it.
Uh, leading up to the moment, uh,
of launch, like 1 1, 1 woman came
up to me, uh, on like Wednesday
or Thursday, when was it?
Shoot, I believe it was Thursday.
And I, I was, you know, just gonna go
to the church and pray for a little bit.
She came up to me and she was asking
me about, uh, healing and some
hives that she has and, and just
the role of faith in all of that.
Long story short, we ended up praying
for a long time and scripture were coming
to mind as I was praying and commanded
her to be healed in the name of Jesus.
And, um, and she really
encountered the spirit, man.
It was, uh, she felt peace
and freedom from the worries
of her life, which are many.
Uh, and any, any normal person would be
really worried about what she's going
through, but in that moment, and it's
carried through, uh, up until today,
which is Monday, September 15th, it's
carried through and she feels peace
and a sense of, uh, just steadiness
in the Lord and, and not worried.
And her hides are a lot better.
They're still there though, and she, but
she believes that they're connected to
her learning to walk in complete peace
and not fear of what the enemy or what.
The world is throwing
at her and her husband.
So, uh, that was just one example.
Um, and, uh, just, it was
just such a sweet week.
I just was like, wow, it's
launch week and I'm not worried.
I'm not scared, I'm not nervous.
I don't feel pressure.
That was the Lord's protection on me.
And, and so the, the, the night before I
go to, we go to sleep and I have a dream.
And this dream was, uh, there was a
tray of sweetss, savory and sweet.
Treats, and I was eating them
really, really, really fast.
And I was competing against
somebody else eating the same
treats on a different tray.
And I, I was rushing and I was like,
blah, blah, blah, blah, like eating
'em so fast and trying to beat this
person and I wasn't enjoying 'em at all.
It was like these things I would normally
enjoy, I would eat 'em slower and, and
really enjoy what I'm, what I'm eating.
But I wasn't.
So I woke up and I remember the
dream and I said, holy spirit, what?
What is that about?
And I heard him say,
it's not a competition.
Enjoy it.
And I just received that word from
him all day and I had so much joy
and excitement and I didn't feel
pressure to be any certain way.
And, um, and then we, we get there
and people start showing up and
like the team shows up and we put
everything, everything together and.
Put all the signs out and just get ready.
And then we have a little
time of pre-service prayer.
And it was about 20 minutes of
just praying and asking the Lord
to move and just to establish
his presence in our house.
And, uh, as we're doing that, my
two boys, Bo and Ezra come up to
me and sit right next to me on the
stage and I'm holding Ezra's hand
and Bo's got his head rested on me.
We just start praying and just
thanking and blessing the Lord Jesus.
And Bo starts singing, worthy
is the Lamb next to me.
Ezra was just so still, like more still
than I've ever seen him in my life.
Like that was a miracle.
That was the greatest miracle
of Saturday was my middle child
sitting still for five minutes.
Uh, and uh, it was so sweet just
inviting the Lord and and honoring him.
And I really felt like the Lord's like,
Hey, just do just, or I don't know.
I don't know if the Lord was saying it.
I just wanted to bless him.
And I wanted our team to know
that what we're doing on Saturdays
is ministering to the Lord.
We're doing all of the things he loves.
We're gonna praise and things and
thank Him and worship and song.
And then, and then we're gonna, you
know, have a moment of generosity.
There's no one more
generous than the Lord.
And he loves a cheerful giver.
So we're gonna give a chance for
givers to be cheerful and they're
giving, uh, and then we open the
word and we talk about Jesus.
There's nothing the father loves.
And when people talk about Jesus,
his son, uh, and then we took
communion for the same reasons.
And then.
I did a time in ministry
and, uh, it was so powerful.
But as people started to show up before
service, I was seeing people that I know
and love and people just showing up to
support and I just was getting emotional
and, oh man, it was just so sweet.
It felt like a, it was
like the wedding day.
I was nervous all day, but
not like a bad nervous.
It was a good nervous, I felt so
nervous because it was like my
wedding day, like we're, it's a
new community that's being birthed.
And people are gonna show up to
say hey and to support and to
love and to, and to bless us.
Uh, and then, um,
and then after week one, after launch
day is gonna be the, the marriage.
You know, like there's a marriage
that, that, that happens after this.
And now it's a time of faithfulness and,
and, um, and, and, and delight and, uh,
friendship and just growing together.
And I'm just really excited
about, about that piece of it too.
Um, we had a high school kid
come up and um, I had a brace
on his wrist and I wasn't there.
Someone else prayed for him,
but as he got prayed for, his
wrist was completely healed.
Amen.
The, the pain went away
completely and he was healed.
And I preached on the kingdom of
God invading the present and the
kingdom of God invaded our present.
And, uh, there was some other
ministry happening as well.
We, we actually had, we didn't have
enough people to pray for people.
There was people waiting in line
to receive prayer, and I think it
had like three or four stations.
Um, and I'm just blessed by that.
It's such a win.
And, um,
um, anyways, that was,
that was really cool.
And then.
We had popsicles after and
we just hung out and, uh, ate
popsicles in the parking lot.
And it was really, really fun, man.
It was really great.
And, um, we had 97 adults, 12 kids.
Uh, we, in our generosity moment,
we had a total online and in
person giving of $2,500 ish.
Uh, which I was like, come on.
Wow.
People got some generous
people up in here.
Praise the Lord.
Um, that was so cool to see that.
And, um, yeah, I just, I wanted to just
to pop on and, and just say thank you.
Um, this will be a shorter episode.
I just wanted to give a quick report
of launch day and how it went.
And, uh, it was a really
sweet, really special day.
It was emotional day
and in the best of ways.
And, uh, we wouldn't have been able
to do it without you, without your
financial support, without your
relationship, um, your prayers.
Uh, we, we wouldn't have been
able to do it without you.
So, um, I just wanted to say thank you.
And, uh, come visit us on Saturday.
We'll be meeting every day, every
Saturday, not every day, every Saturday
at 5:00 PM uh, with one caveat on
September 27th, which is a Saturday,
we actually have to move our service
to Sunday morning on September 28th.
So if you're planning on visiting
us in a couple of weekends, on the
last weekend of September, where
I'm actually meeting on Sunday,
September 28th at 10:00 AM and, um.
Just be aware of that.
But, um, this coming Saturday on
the 20th, uh, where I'm gonna be
preaching on demons, uh, I told
my wife that and she was like, oh,
you're trying to shrink the church?
And I was like, no, that's not fair.
We don't know even know what our, what
our group looks like, how big it is yet.
So we can't shrink something.
You don't have it established yet.
Um, but we're in the book of Mark
and Jesus heals a man with an
unclean spirit in a synagogue.
So we're gonna go there, we're
gonna talk about unclean spirits.
What are they, how do they work?
And, uh, how do we get him out and, uh,
and the power and authority of Jesus.
So, um, I'm just grateful,
grateful for that, and, uh,
grateful for the book of Mark.
It's gonna be fun.
We're gonna walk through it this fall.
So anyways, I just wanted to say
thank you reporting on Launch day.
Uh, I'm sure we will be posting pictures
here shortly, uh, of how it went, and,
uh, I'll be popping back on every week to
give you updates and testimonies on what
the Lord is doing at Breakthrough Church.
Love you guys.
See ya.
